Welcome to Jensen’s Martial Arts After several years away from teaching martial arts following the closure of XL Martial Arts Academy, Eric Jensen felt the urge to step back onto the mats. This time, however, the vision is different. Jensen’s Martial Arts has been built for people who want to enjoy martial arts in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Because Eric works FIFO, classes are held every second week, making the club ideal for those who can’t commit to training several nights every week. We offer classes for three age groups, with children welcome from 4 years of age, provided they are able to follow instruction and participate safely. What We Are We’re a club that believes martial arts should be enjoyable, practical and accessible. Our training includes: Muay Thai pad work Practical self-defence Skill development Confidence building A friendly, supportive atmosphere where everyone can learn at their own pace Whether you’ve never trained before, are returning after years away, have injuries that require a sensible approach, or simply want to keep your skills sharp, you’ll fit right in. What We’re Not Sometimes it’s easier to explain who we are by explaining who we’re not. We’re not a fight gym training competitive fighters. If that’s your goal, we’re happy to recommend some excellent gyms. We’re not a fitness bootcamp, although anyone wanting to improve their fitness is more than welcome. We’re not focused on producing champions years from now. We’re focused on helping kids and adults become more confident, capable and prepared for life today. We don’t teach ground fighting or grappling. If you’re interested in that side of martial arts, Eric is happy to recommend some outstanding clubs, including the one where several of our students—and Eric himself—train. Our Philosophy Martial arts should be fun. We train hard, but we also laugh, share ideas, support one another and enjoy the journey. Every student is different, and everyone has something to bring to the club. If you’re looking for a friendly martial arts club where you can learn practical skills, build confidence and enjoy training without the pressure of competition, we’d love to welcome you to Jensen’s Martial Arts.
Eric Jensen has been teaching Muay Thai for over 25 years. His focus has always been the same: help real people — kids, parents, beginners, returners — build confidence, fitness, and practical skills in a place that feels like home.
CLAIM YOUR FREE TRIALFor children aged 4 and up. A fun, structured environment where kids learn focus, respect, and basic Muay Thai skills. We build confidence and discipline — not fighters.
Teens learn practical self-defence, build fitness, and develop mental resilience. A positive space away from screens — where effort is rewarded and everyone belongs.
Whether you've never thrown a punch or you're returning after years away, adult classes are welcoming, practical, and genuinely enjoyable. All fitness levels, all experience levels.
We are training you and your children for NOW.
Confidence, discipline, and the ability to defend yourself — these aren't trophies for someday. They're skills your kids carry into every classroom, every playground, every moment of their lives. Our junior classes build real people, not just fighters.
My daughter started at 5 years old and absolutely loves it. Eric is patient, encouraging, and genuinely great with kids. She's more confident at school and can't wait for the next class.
I came back to martial arts after a 10-year break and was nervous about fitting in. From day one everyone was welcoming. The pace is perfect — challenging but never overwhelming.
We have three kids in the class and it's become a family thing. Eric remembers every child's name, their strengths, what they're working on. It's a proper community.
No contracts. No pressure. Bring the kids or come solo — just show up, have fun, and see if Jensen's feels like the right fit.
