Common questions

BEFORE
YOU COME IN

Do I need any experience?
None at all. Every class is designed to welcome complete beginners. Eric starts with the fundamentals — stance, guard, basic strikes — and builds from there. If you can follow instruction, you can train.
What should I wear?
Comfortable workout clothes — shorts and a t-shirt are fine. Bare feet on the mat. No shoes required. If you have boxing gloves or hand wraps, bring them, but they're not required for your first class.
Is it safe for kids?
Yes. Kids never spar. All contact work is controlled pad work with Eric. The focus is on technique, fitness, and confidence — not fighting. Children are welcome from age 4 provided they can follow instruction.
Why are classes fortnightly?
Eric works FIFO, so classes run every second week — on both Wednesdays and Saturdays. This actually works well for families and adults who can't commit to weekly training — you get a consistent schedule without the pressure.
Will there be sparring?
Not in your first class, and not without Eric's explicit sign-off. Kids never spar. Adults only spar when they're ready and only with appropriate partners. Safety is not negotiable.
How do I book my free trial?
Send an email or message on Facebook. Eric will confirm the next class date and the exact location. That's it — no forms, no payment, no commitment.
